I think we all know the importance of being always tuned with positivity . Choose good examples in order to be the next good example to somebody else. Do I virtually sense, someone nodding? 😀
You deliberately choose to stay with people who support you, people who share the same values. And it might sound tricky, as when I say values it doesn’t mean having the same perspective and it really makes the difference, because you will be mentally challenged. When it comes to improvement, challenge is a key word. Cool!
As I have mentioned before, I am not exactly the example of a positive thinker. And to write this single sentence, or to even come to such conclusion took a long time of struggling from my part.
But the realization it’s a first step, obviously. Fortunately I believe in my own growth and see into making it happen day after day. I am getting further away from the fixed mindset, that we are who are, born with certain traits and features which will never change no matter how much we try. If I were to believe such thing, then I would be doomed. To cut it short, I wouldn’t be who I am today and I wouldn’t be willing to learn anymore.
The thing is, to know the answer. How we manage our social accounts on the internet is a matter of choice, no one is entitled to judge. Period.
Everyday we make that choice, starting by the personal data found in our profiles, the statuses and the things we choose to post, which naturally show what we stand for, fight for, long for, wish for. The photos we choose to post, locations, companions, when, how, posing.
It’s interesting and it has got me really captivated. I think that by the end of the day I will be done with it.
Generally, I am quite skeptic when it comes to topics such as feminism or sexism as sometimes, it’s so easy to take the wrong step and get involved in biased or even extremist arguments that lead nowhere. But, Natasha Walter, the author besides showing facts, statistics and survey data, provides interviews with real people from showbiz industry to real life situations.
The way I see it, where she stands is an equilibrium point, as to some might sound debatable, but far from any kind of feminist extremism, drastic measures to bring into surface “the women empowerment”, radical opinions on “men vs women”(I am glad there is no such thing in it).
Ok, so today is Friday again… (dduuuhhhh… a cycle with a 7 day frequency yada yada) and I thought that I can help you a little bit with some other tips on… heels? Wearing them or not?
Before I go on, let’s make a deal; since on Fridays I also update my novel Italian ChaT (today Part IV :D), next week I am switching these kind of posts on Thursday. What do you think? (Oh, I am having so much fun with this blog thing!!! \oo/)
Well no, Meghan it’s not!!! Seriously, it’s been actually a lot since I wanted to share what I really think of the song, better to say about the content of the song.
It is ridiculous, and I know what you might think, there are like countless stupid, superficial songs out there, I certainly agree with you, thus in this very moment I can list hundreds of them, too many right? However this one, gets on my nerves! Really!
You know the irony? WHEN THIS SONG IS BEING PLAYED IN THE GYM! (It has happened!)
They say:”Dirty little secrets always come out!”. Now, truly don’t they? And the most important of all, noooow, don’t we all have some of those?
Despite, our efforts, sometimes walking in the sun and letting go of the dark side of the moon is really hard. We tend to find all kind of excuses and yet we get dragged again… Let’s face it, the dark is just an excuse itself, to justify our own behaviors…
So our cozy, comfortable, little rooms have those big, roomy closets, not for just our clothes to wear, but also keeping bodies and skeletons, don’t they?
I will keep it real short today, since my creative nerve is not feeling that creative. Nevertheless, today’s daily prompt, unquestionably leads to thinking the opposite. The predictable or how much we try to be able to predict, foresee, forecast then create and meet expectations, based on what the future shall be, accordingly.
John Mayers Keynes once said: “When my information changes, I alter my conclusions. What do you do sir?”
Which brings me back to another saying of John H. Patterson : “Only fools or dead men don’t change their minds. Fools don’t and dead men can’t.”. And recalling my memories of back then I remember saying: “Then obviously I’m dead!” as much as funny it may sound, it also brings to the surface some of my mindsets.
