Guts over Fear

Untitled

The song is beautiful, the words make it even more because of the enormous, deep message they carry.

When you are safe in your little happy routine, in your cozy comfort zone, it’s so hard to take a step further. A step outside means you are out in the “dark”. It means you are vulnerable… well uncomfortable is the right word.

You know that there are lots of wrong things with your current comfort zone despite all the benefits. You know that at some point you will need to take that risk, not saying face life blindfolded but heeeeell you need to take a chance for yourself, when an “opportunity” presents itself. Most of the times others spend an eternity looking for one and never find it, or maybe they do, but are unable to overcome their fears. Thus, if you are looking, it means that deep down, that comfort zone of yours is not that comfortable after all.

Never ending competition

20160702_165419

“Dua te jetoj ne mal!” was my status a while ago, which means literally “I want to live in the mountain!”.

I was driven by the idea of escaping the “modern” world, from the system that fuels it. System, we, people make happen everyday. Like it or not, I am part of it myself, so I wanted to escape from me. The part of me that is driven by vanity, envy, jealousy, competition, ambition and I don’t know other words, synonyms ending in “tion”.

Blogger Recognition Award

Wow, I am quite surprised and well I didn’t see this coming. Thank you Adarsha Kharel for nominating me.

I don’t really know how this blogging experience will turn out for me, but I have no doubt that I will try to make the best out of it.

Ok, let’s get it started. Here are the rules:

  • Thank the one who nominated you and embed a link to their blog.
  • Share how you started your blog.
  • Give a little bit of advice that new bloggers can take away.
  • Select fifteen other blogs who you think really deserve the award.
  • Visit the blogs you nominated and let them know.

STORY OF MY BLOG

Now that’s quite short, since it’s less than a month that I joined the wordpress community. Me 1: “Oh ok, let’s see what this is about… ”

Me 2: “Oh looks interesting, so many bloggers in here. They are very goooooood!”

Me 3: “OMG, what I am supposed to doooo, I am never gonna make it!”

An hour later…

My friend: “Your first post is online. I published it. Too late now. No turning back!”

Me: “You did?? … What? Why? But I didn’t want …”

My friend: “Well, as I said. Too late now!”

And here I am, trying to write a novel, “Italian ChaT” part I has already been published. I was inspired by the Daily Prompt of the day, and I decided to update the story every Friday.

ADVICE TO NEW BLOGGERS

Oh my, I am the one who needs advice, since I am very new at this.

I have realized that the most important thing is to ” fully, unquestionably enjoy writing”!

I find myself laughing, when I am in front of my screen writing some funny piece, or slightly teary when I am writing something sad. The point is to feel what you write and write what you feel.

Some amazing minds that I am about to nominate:

Here it comes…

S:”I am  not going to make it! I am telling you!”
M:”Of course, you are, don’t be ridiculous! You are so smart and brilliant.”

S:”It has got nothing to do with that, I am scared! I can’t talk in front of so many people! My heart beats fast, my cheeks will be flushing red, my  voice trembling, I will be scratching my throat because it feels like choking… I am going to make a fool of myself and everyone will laugh at me…”

M:”Oh I really don’t get it. What are you so afraid of? Cowardice has never qualified you.”

S:”This is Public Speaking, we are talking about! PUBLIC SPEAKING! The big bad Monster, haunting me, since forever!”

M:”Weird though, you have never been shy as a child, quite the opposite. A shameless brat, looking for constant attention.”

S:”Mom, why don’t you listen to me?”

M:”Honey, I aaaamm. I’m trying to help you out. Hey what do you think of a couple of shots….”

S:”Seriously? Alcohol? I am having a nervous breakdown and all you can come out with is “a couple of shots”?”

M:”Just saying… what’s the big deal?”

Mistakes are made… (Part II)

To my close friend O!Part II

A couple of years ago, I gained some weight and it happened quickly. On the blink of an eye my lifestyle had completely changed and I found myself a bit rounder.

I have never been the catwalk model type, with a skinny or bony body structure, however that was not the issue. The  issue was my new lifestyle, sitting behind my working desk all the time and getting comfortable with a bit of mobility absence. Continue reading Mistakes are made… (Part II)

Be a proton \oo/

Be a Proton

I will start this with a question: “What type of person do you think you are?” and going on with “Do you consider yourself an optimist or a pessimist?” “Do you think of yourself as a realistic person?”

Years ago, I wanted to think of myself as a realist. I’ve never been the typical example of an optimistic one, now that’s for sure. I might also add that I had a certain inclination towards pessimism.

And thinking about it I recall, very often thinking “Good things never happen to me!” . I watched myself struggling and fighting so much and so hard for the things I wanted, but it looked like it was always the tough way for me, YEP. Continue reading Be a proton \oo/
