Italian ChaT – IV

wp-1469791703100.jpg

No need to rush, Marsia takes the fashionably late concept to a complete superior level. So I can roam on my own for a while, enjoying wind‘s futile attempts to block my steps.

So born on 1935 huh… this means she’s like 80 years old… and she looks so young… I didn’t get it, so her parents died soon after Alessio left? And the fire she was talking about? She lost the journals, now that’s a pity, I would have loved to take a look at them and take some notes… Notes… oooohhhhh how troublesome, the editorial, I don’t know where to start.

Ok, so it means that I will work on it, while waiting for Marsia… if only I could actually concentrate…

TESOROOOOOOO ECCOMI FINALMENTE!” Marsia exclaims, and all heads turned in our direction. Perfect, just perfect.

How High?

Ok, so today is Friday again… (dduuuhhhh… a cycle with a 7 day frequency yada yada) and I thought that I can help you a little bit with some other tips on… heels? Wearing them or not?

red shoe
Bershka sandals, with a wide heel it’s much easier. Chinese chopsticks not really my thing 😉

Before I go on, let’s make a deal; since on Fridays I also update my novel Italian ChaT (today Part IV :D), next week I am switching these kind of posts on Thursday. What do you think? (Oh, I am having so much fun with this blog thing!!! \oo/)

Topic: To heel or not to heel?

MetaMorphosis

Metamorphosis
When I got the book (in Albanian)

You ever felt like a cockroach?

Let me explain, as I know it sounds absurd. In fact, I fully get what F.Kafka was aiming at when writing “Metamorphosis”, the poor Gregor, was literally transformed into an insect and he was banned from society and what’s worse disowned from his own family.

Tell me: What do you want?

That’s Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington in Scandal) talking and at first sight it appears so easy and obvious, but when you let it sink, it’s actually so elusive to answer.

  • A truthful answer sometimes means, intentions and when they are not so orthodox…DAAAMN don’t we like to judge but not the other way around.
  • A truthful answer means not just intentions, but also feelings that can be transmuted in vulnerabilities and when the stakes are high these make us look weak.
  • A truthful answer could mean compromising a relationship with a beloved one in our lives or even a certain status quo.

All about that Bass…Really?

Well no, Meghan it’s not!!! Seriously, it’s been actually a lot since I wanted to share what I really think of the song, better to say about the content of the song.

It is ridiculous, and I know what you might think, there are like countless stupid, superficial songs out there, I certainly agree with you, thus in this very moment I can list hundreds of them, too many right? However this one, gets on my nerves! Really!

You know the irony? WHEN THIS SONG IS BEING PLAYED IN THE GYM! (It has happened!)

Italian ChaT Part III

Dear reader, I really hope you are enjoying the short novel I am writing. So this is Part III, as usual, I will keep updating the story every Friday. I am still shaping the plot, but I’ve got the general line all set, for now… hehehe who knows… what might happen later.

However, below you will learn something more about the characters. Some might think that I am taking my time, but I need to give a complete view and background, as that will also affect the protagonist’s life afterwards. So be patient and enjoy.

Again, I suggest you to read the first two parts, before going on. As the story develops from this point on, you would miss details and information needed to understand better the course of events. Part I “Italian ChaT” , “Italian ChaT Part II”.

“They grew apart?”

“Alessio was the oldest. He wanted to be a support to our family, eager to change the world. He wanted to see a new Italy, empowered and industrialized but as idealistic as it looked, he was also impatient and wanted things to happen or to change real fast. With this fascist breeze, he saw the chance, that opportunity he was looking for…”

“He joined the Fascist Party???”

“Yes, he joined the Party at first… he was determined in his cause. He thought that changes, good ones were about to happen. Finally Italy would be able to reign the world, just like it had long ago deserved to. Yes, that’s what he thought. At some point, I think he lost vision of what was supposed to be his mission in life. He began to feed himself with anger and rage… The more he got involved with the party, the more we could see him transform… He was slowly drifting away, being so absorbed with the ideas of his beloved brothers who supported him… His real family began to resemble more and more with the enemy… The more we tried to talk some reason into him… Useless… His worst enemy was Mario, the younger brother.”

“He was against it, wasn’t he?”

Happy Birthday To My Blog

wp-1468848814047.jpg

I was so excited the first day, when my first post was published and I still am. Writing has been a “partner in crime” during all my life, not that I attempt to create a writing lab, but it has always soothed me, as bringing my thoughts to life, is like breaking my whole being into thousands fractions. It might look weird, but that’s my way of being complete, being a puzzle and switching my pieces from time to time. That’s a way that makes me feel alive, because it’s not easy, because it’s hard, thus I still keep learning.

Fade-2-fade

Durres,Albania

When you leave something behind or someone, specially someone very close or dear to you, it’s not a matter of just leaving behind, is also the matter of being left behind and finally being able to let go, from both sides.

I am probably too young, to talk about “leaving behind” and when I was thinking about it, I couldn’t help but mentally slap myself saying: “Don’t be ridiculous! What could you possibly share with people? You know too well, there are so many out there that have really, truly, deep, heart breaking stories to share…”

However, here I am rambling gibberish (probably) but looking where I stand now, I know that (more than leaving behind, to me is letting go) I’ve let go of things that hurt me, making me feel worthless and insignificant. I did the same with people I used to care about, but couldn’t accept me for what I was. I let go of them, to let go of bad feelings.

Leaving behind is absolutely related to memories, however they made you feel, and it is not about forgetting; it’s about making a choice, walk away, remember what made you ultimately walk away, turn ahead of you.

Sometimes, you have the impression they are fading, I know for sure they are not. They become a part of you, it’s still a choice thus turning you in who you are.

Immortality

Immortality.jpg
Us Today

Are you  wondering what “feast” has got to do with Immortality? Specially considering the fact that “Immortality” happens to be the tittle of one of my favorite novels written by the Czech author Milan Kundera.

Are you? Good! (Y)

Yes, well I can’t help but also link “feast” with the, what I usually call “over+something”.

Let me elaborate, as for example when you overdo, overreact, oversleep, overexert, overestimate and so on;  yeah you get my point over+something, somehow associated with exaggeration.
