What’s really important in life? Money, power, possessions, status, job…, family, friends… freedom… or time? I can’t deny that at some point all the above might be important, but not equally important at the same time, except time itself, the most precious and yet it’s always being taken for granted. However, time is the only thing I am not focusing on, in this post so let’s get it started with all the rest:
= Can’t really live without money. You will need food at some point, won’t you? + other basics.
= As for the rest, it remains a necessary mean to do important things in life such as travelling and exploring, going to concerts of your favorite bands, buying more books. With these experiences you will make so many good memories and life changing experiences. I plan to buy a professional camera soon, for my photography hobby and ehm… well yeah it’s not that cheap.

I am going to be honest with you all. I haven’t been writing for quite a long time. The reason is quite simple, I didn’t want to.
The ” I don’t want to…” freaked me out. Since I was scared to admit that I didn’t want to do one of the most therapeutic things in this world which further more is also one of the things I love the most, I was making up excuses: “I don’t feel like it…” “I don’t have time…” “I have nothing to write about…” and wait the worst is yet to come: “I am a complete mess, what the hell will I be writing about? I tried to be a good example of positive thinking and now I will spread what, the complete opposite? How incapable I am of surpassing it all? No one needs that!”
But I do, even though it’s not easy at all.

Suddenly I feel like a drained, brown bonsai. Hang on, brown? But why? I used to be a wonderful, cheerful bonsai, where did my cheer leading leaves go? What about what they call prosperity?
The hardest part of motivation is self motivation!
The whole motivation topic is no piece of cake, only if it was one of my mother’s, baking or cooking not her thing generally.

This week has been testing on many levels, and added to that feeling like a lorry truck has ran me over. And over. And over, since the beginning on Monday. Work has been messy and busy and a bunch of job interviews, let’s see really.
I haven’t been in the right mind to actually write or even scribble anything. My mother asked me the other day, if I have been writing…
I was thinking that, I usually finish the things I have to, specially meeting deadlines. Apparently when it comes to me and things I might want to do for myself, even when it’s about improvement, acquiring more knowledge, honing skills, I have been procrastinating lately always pushing for “a bit later”. Not a very good sign.

As I have mentioned before, I am not exactly the example of a positive thinker. And to write this single sentence, or to even come to such conclusion took a long time of struggling from my part.
But the realization it’s a first step, obviously. Fortunately I believe in my own growth and see into making it happen day after day. I am getting further away from the fixed mindset, that we are who are, born with certain traits and features which will never change no matter how much we try. If I were to believe such thing, then I would be doomed. To cut it short, I wouldn’t be who I am today and I wouldn’t be willing to learn anymore.

John Mayers Keynes once said: “When my information changes, I alter my conclusions. What do you do sir?”
Which brings me back to another saying of John H. Patterson : “Only fools or dead men don’t change their minds. Fools don’t and dead men can’t.”. And recalling my memories of back then I remember saying: “Then obviously I’m dead!” as much as funny it may sound, it also brings to the surface some of my mindsets.
